Jarrow Formulas Methyl Folate delivers 1,000 mcg of folate in its active, body-ready form — (6S)-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate ((6S)-5-MTHF) — as a glucosamine salt. Unlike standard folic acid, which must undergo enzymatic conversion in the body, (6S)-5-MTHF is the predominant naturally occurring form of folate found in the bloodstream.
